NarrateAR will join a distinguished national cohort of innovators dedicated to addressing the unique needs and opportunities of students with learning differences. This significant milestone is marked by generous financial support from NewSchools Venture Fund, a leading venture philanthropy committed to advancing innovation in PK-12 education.
NewSchools’ funding will serve as a catalyst for NarrateAR to develop personalized AI co-pilots for early literacy and mathematics instruction for inclusive classrooms and those with special needs. This groundbreaking initiative aims to enhance learning outcomes by developing AI-powered solutions that assist educators in creating and deploying differentiated and personalized learning. NarrateAR’s approach will use individualized 1:1 discussions and interactions with AI agents, and create added engagement through AR visualization, AI-customized game-based simulations, and peer-to-peer sharing. Our solution is focused on serving student groups with special needs, including those disproportionately impacted by systemic inequality.
“As a scientist, educator, and parent of a special needs child, I believe that technology should be an enabler, not a barrier, to equitable education. With the support of NewSchools, NarrateAR is poised to create an EdTech solution that redefines what an inclusive classroom looks like. Our AI co-pilots are more than just tools; they're catalysts for a paradigm shift towards highly personalized, accessible, and inclusive learning experiences,” says CEO and Co-founder, Karri Haen Whitmer.
The NarrateAR team is honored to join the NewSchools EDge Fund Learning Differences portfolio and is thrilled to have the support for the company’s mission to empower students, educators, and caregivers. NewSchools’ partnership, financial support, expertise, resources, and influential network will help bring NarrateAR to those who need it most and bolster our capacity to drive meaningful change within the field of education.
